The non-profit sector is under increasing pressure. Trust is declining, competition is growing and the focus is shifting from public to private funding. In short, the times demand a different approach.
How do you stay open to the future and build trust in your team?
Do you recognise this within your organisation? Do you worry about how to keep stress out? And how to make sure your employees remain confident in the future?
Vlasblom & Deroose help organisations respond effectively to this new reality. We support your team in translating existing values into new behaviour and a renewed identity, and ensure that this change becomes visible and tangible.
(Scientific research shows that 90% of the time we make unconscious, visual judgements about people and organisations based on appearance and overall presentation)
Vlasblom & Deroose offer a hands-on coaching process in which we work with you and your team to build new behaviours, a clear identity and a forward-looking direction. Adapted to your most urgent issues and the size of your team, we design a tailor-made trajectory. In it, we will examine the visual identity and map out crucial organisational decisions - decisions that support the desired change with appropriate behaviour and powerful visual expressions.
Annelies Vlasblom guides the team with her expertise at the intersection of visual identity and impact. 'One visual paints a thousand words' forms the starting point: visual language that is meaningful, ensures that your organisation is seen and understood.
Flore Deroose looks at an organisation from a background in business development and as an anthropologist at the often invisible assumptions and (unconscious) decisions that drive the dynamics within teams. Which beliefs or habits still determine behaviour today - and are they still helpful? Using insights from applied psychology (Transactional Analysis) and human behaviour, she makes undercurrents visible and helps break old patterns. She looks at unused potential, at new (entrepreneurial) opportunities and the way to more joy and lightness in cooperation. Together with the team, she investigates new perspectives and which powerful decisions are appropriate for growth in the present time.

Engagement and self-confidence within the organisation
After these sessions, your team returns with two essential outcomes: first, the organisation receives concrete recommendations for the values and behaviours it wants to strengthen and develop further. Secondly, the team takes away a strategy for a visual identity, which makes the organisation more powerfully visible and puts the team out in the world with more energy and confidence, increasing its impact.
HiiL, an international NGO working to improve the legal system, asked us for support in strengthening their branding. At a time when grants are under pressure, it is essential for organisations to clearly communicate what they stand for.
“Annelies and Flore guided us through a truly collaborative brand refresh. They listened closely, asked good questions and helped us refine HiiL’s visual identity to better resonate with our audience. Our work focuses on making the justice system more people-centred —communicating that clearly isn’t always easy. But working together we found clearer, more consistent ways to express who we are and what we stand for. We really appreciated their open and practical approach.”
Fionuala Cregan & Paulina Siwicka, Interim Communications Manager & Visual Communications Designer HiiL
RFG Media was dealing with a website that no longer matched the organisation's current identity and way of working. Especially at a time when aid to refugees is under pressure, it is important to communicate clearly and convincingly about your work.
”RFG Media is a unique organisation. We supervise and train refugee journalists who want to resume their profession in the Netherlands and we produce stories with our contributors for our own platform and other media. Vlasblom & Deroose helped us bring these different activities together in an attractive and clear way in a new website that suits our diverse target group. This allows us to better show who we are and what we do. It has given us many positive reactions; from participants, but also from the funds we approach for support.”
Rob Hartgers, Project Manager RFG Media
Flore guided the founders of Another Studio and A-Studio - filmmakers Karlijn and Lotte Milders and Tom Verberne - in the strategic growth of their visual content agency. The studio focuses on powerfully portraying the services and designs of SMEs and designers. Flore supported them in sharpening their positioning, developing a clear strategy and setting up targeted acquisition and new business. She also offered intensive guidance on team dynamics, leadership and the development of the studio as a start-up organisation.
Several trajectories are conceivable:
An intensive programme aimed at quickly improving the mindset of employees and leaders. Together, we map out the “quick wins”, both in terms of branding and change management. This programme breaks through limiting beliefs, explores new possibilities and stimulates a positive, result-oriented attitude. It immediately provides more direction in both branding and strategy for the various teams within your organisation.
A strategic trajectory where we reassess the vision and brand identity, bring employees along for the change and develop a roadmap for the future. This programme helps organisations prepare for the next phase of growth, with a clear direction for rebranding and direction setting within teams.
An in-depth journey for fundamental change in strategy, management and branding. This long-term programme creates a culture of transformation through coaching, workshops and strategic support, with lasting impact on the organisation. (This pathway may also include a complete rebranding).
